Laila Easy Cook Long Grain Rice is typically parboiled at source with the husk on. This everyday versatile rice is slightly off white in colour until it is cooked after which it turns white. This type of rice guarantees delicious, separate and fluffy grains when cooked. Perfect for all Caribbean rice dishes.
- Take 75g rice (per person), rinse in running water and place in a large pan of boiling water.
- Stir and bring back to the boil, keeping uncovered. Reduce to a rolling simmer for approx. 10 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Drain water, cover and leave to stand for 3 minutes, then lightly fork through the grains and serve.
