Steamer: Add about 1/3 water to steamer and bring to a boil. Place frozen buns on steaming rack and cover with a lid. Steam for 8-10 minutes over medium hear.
Microwave: Place two frozen buns in microwave-safe container with lid. Microwave on medium-low (800w) for 1.5 minutes. If microwave power or number of buns changes, adjust heating time accordingly.
